On September 18, 2018, Prof. Dr. S. Shantha Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, G. D. Goenka University and Dean, School of Law, conducted a workshop in G. D. Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness about Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Prof. Shantha Kumar highlighted the important provisions of the Act to explain the kind of offences that fall under POCSO. He recounted some of the prominent crimes in the past which were classified as offences under POCSO to make the audience understand the gambit of offences covered under this act. He also educated on the measures to be adopted by citizens esp the fraternity of educators to prevent the occurrence of such crimes in the society. The action to be taken in the event of such an occurrence was also informed. It was well received by the audience.
