Enthusiastic Goenkans from Grades VI to XI got a remarkable opportunity to visit Seoul, the City of Ancient Traditions and K Pop fashion and culture .
The group of twenty students and two teachers experienced five exhilarating days in an educational trip to Seoul.
One of the team members from Grade X, Kyrell, has described the exciting holiday
and its events in chronological order :
Day 1 : Arrival and briefing, Visit to HiKR Ground building experiencing K-pop and media art .
Day 2: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Witnessing the Changing of the Guards according to ancient traditions, educational interactions at the National Folk Museum of Korea, Namsan Tower by cable car, Namsan Love Lock Bridge, exploring a traditional folk village of Korea, experiencing the buzz of shopping at the bustling
Myeong-dong street.
Day 3: Visit to the LOTTE World Aquarium and the LOTTE World Indoor Amusement Park with thrilling rides and games and the amazing Starfield Library.
Day 4: School visit for an enthralling exchange program, Seoul Animation Centre, street shopping and sight seeing.
Day 5 : An Interactive Wrap Up Session and Departure.
The highlight of the trip was an entire day spent at the Korean High School where the Goenkan team shared glimpses of the beautiful Indian culture with the students and staff there. Students built an incredible bond of friendship over friendly banter and exchange of gifts and shared a typical Korean school lunch which they found unique and scrumptious!
This exciting trip undoubtedly exemplified the theme of Travel, Education and Beyond !!
