Teachers Day was celebrated in G. D. Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. On arrival in the school, the teachers were delighted to enter staff rooms decorated tastefully by the children. As a gesture of gratitude to their mentors, students had placed cakes and cards on the workstations.

The special assembly was conducted by the students of Class XII with the Head Boy, Hardik Chetal, role playing as the Principal. Dressed up in colourful clothes, the students of Class XII presented many songs, dances and other items of entertainment. Children of Standard V presented Ghumar and Mi Gente while the children of Class VII sang Despacito. The students of Standard VIII entertained everyone with Senorita. A melodious rendition by Aakanksha Gadh and Suhana Dhingra left everyone spellbound. Gurkiran Wadhawan, an ex-student, moved everyone with a medley of Hindi songs. The Head Girl, Zoya S. Kumar, the Vice Head Boy, Rahul Ranveer Shah, and the Vice Head Girl, Sejal Goyal, expressed their sentiments of gratitude to all the teachers.

After the assembly the students were seen going to their teachers in different staff rooms presenting flowers and seeking their blessings. The school organised a lavish lunch for the teachers at The Grand. The day left the teachers overwhelmed.
