The Republic Day 2016, was celebrated in the School with a lot of fervor and enthusiasm , on25th January 2016. The programme was attended by the entire school and the teaching faculty.

The flag hoisting by the Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, followed by the National Anthem aroused feelings of patriotism and generated love and respect for the country.

A patriotic song ‘Hind ke Bahadur’ rendered by the students of Classes 4, 6 & 7, brought out emotions of pride and sense of belonging for our beloved country.

Sadhana Datta, a faculty member, gave a talk on the significance of the day. She spoke on the symbolism and the importance which this day holds for every Indian, highlighting the need to become ‘Digital India’.

The rendition of ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’ and ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha’ by the School orchestra, was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The students of Indian and Western Instrumental activity participated in this most enthralling and spectacular performance by the Goenkans.

The programme culminated in the Principal’s message. He addressed the students and urged them to be responsible citizens of the country and motivated them to contribute in every possible manner to make our country prosperous and a healthy nation. He emphasized on the need for every Indian to be alert, involved and lend every bit of cooperation and support to build a unique nation which will be looked up to, by other super powers of the world, in the years to come.
