Mr. Sandeep Rawat has been recently honoured with REX KARAMVEER CHAKRA (Gold) Award, instituted by The United Nations, for his valuable contribution in the field of arts and theatre in education. He is the founder/director of Samarth Theatre Group and also the theatre faculty at G. D. Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. As an educator he aims to provide a platform to artists from all spheres of life to showcase their capabilities through the medium of theatre. This award has come up as a reward for his work that revolves around theatre for children and caters to the issues of the contemporary society.
