Continuing with its silver jubilee celebrations, G. D. Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, organised its first ever alumni meet on December 22, 2019.
Students from batches as old as 2002 walked into the school gates with much excitement and proudly adorned their lapels with school badges. They rushed to meet their ex-teachers and nostalgically recollected the bitter sweet memories of yesteryears. The two Managing Directors, Mr Nipun Goenka and Ms Nupur Goenka, enjoyed the gaiety of the atmosphere more as ex-students. The festive mood was all pervasive. The old boys and girls were taken down the memory lane through the screening of Goenkan Vignettes. The alumni trekked the silver trail visiting their old classrooms and relived their school days. Precious moments were frozen at the photo booth and instant memories were created with polaroid poses. Live singing and DJ infused the air with jollity. Bonhomie was created with interactions over delicious snacks and sumptuous multi-cuisine lunch. With mementos in their hands the ex-Goenkans left the school longing for many more such moments.
