On 31st July 2018,Political Science students of classes XI and XII were taken to visit Rajya Sabha.The teacher who organised the trip and accompanied them was Ms. Seema Chadha.It was once in a lifetime opportunity for the children.While entering the chamber our children met few MPs and Jaya Bachchan was amongst them.She came forward and interacted with the children which was extremely thrilling and exciting for them.The children went inside in two batches.The ongoing debate was on National Register Of Citizens(NRC) controversy.With the opposition led by Derek O Brien at its vitriolic best,the House got adjourned.Our children were spellbound witnessing all of this live.
The second batch of students witnessed the debate on the same issue.The House was full of lumanaries like Amit Shah,Rajnath Singh,Ravi Shankar Prasad,Manmohan Singh,Raj Babbar etc.
Overall it was a great exposure for the students to watch the proceedings live.They were completely awestruck by the August presence of National dignitaries and to see them debate and discuss issues of national importance.
