On October17, 2018, Ms Navika Kumar, the leading political journalist, visited G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi for an interaction with the students of classes XI and XII. Navika Kumar shared the process of her progress from being an average journalist to a renowned news anchor. She spoke about the stories she had cracked that catapulted her to fame. Some of these are the office of profit story that led to the resignation of Sonia Gandhi and Commonwealth Games scam that led to the exit of Suresh Kalmadi. Her stories intrigued and inspired the young minds. She also discussed the raging controversy of “Me Too” movement and its reality. Her words excited the children to a number of queries that she very skilfully responded to.

It was an enriching and fruitful experience. Some children were so inspired that they decided to take up journalism as a career option! Ms Seema Chadha, the organiser of this interaction, felt the effort was certainly worthwhile.
