On 10th August 2022, the students of Grade 11 and 12 got the amazing opportunity to
get guidance from a truly inspirational mentor- Mr. Nikhil Varma. Being highly qualified
with a Bachelor of Computer engineering and a Master’s in Computer Engineering from
Concordia University, Canada along with an MBA from HEC Montreal, Canada, makes
him a perfect role model for today’s enterprising and inquisitive youth. Mr. Nikhil is
currently working as a Web 3.0 subject matter expert (cannonball) at Algo Bharat which
aims at helping in the diffusion of Blockchain in India leveraging the India stack. He has
spent time in the industry as a developer, analyst , management consultant and a
project manager. He shared his knowledge and key learnings through the years of his
entrepreneurial journey and also talked about the different types of entrepreneurs and
the important characteristics needed to become a successful entrepreneur with our
keen-learners. He told us how we need to focus on ourselves and realize what our
abilities are, once we realize who we are, sky’s the limit. Fundraising, sustainability and
focusing and following one path were some of the important points delivered by him.
The fantabulous session was concluded by an overview of the American companies like Starbucks, Patagonia etc, their economy, ways of sustainability and their pros and cons. It enabled the students to work on self – introspection, teamwork and finding a mentor. It was overall an exhilarating and informative experience.
