On Friday, January 18, 2019, G. D. Goenka Public school, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi invited parents to witness the first of its series of events for the silver jubilee celebrations. The school proudly presented a jugalbandi by its famous alumni, Sitarist Lakshay Mohan and Sarod player Aayush Mohan. The artiste on tabla was Zaheen Khan.

Star duo, Lakshay and Aayush became the first Indians to be invited to perform at the Grammy Awards Museum in Los Angeles for the iconic launch of Ravi Shankar Exhibition in 2015. Their recent tour of the United States in November 2018 saw them performing at some of the most prestigious world music venues which rarely see Indian classical performances such as Symphony Space at Broadway, New York, Berklee College , Boston and Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix.

Before the performance they enlightened the students about the nuances of classical music to enable them to fully comprehend the composition being presented. An hour long programme held the audience spellbound. They were given a standing ovation. The two brothers thanked the school for giving them the opportunity to grace their alma mater and the Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav blessed for their bright future.
