“Only a life lived in the service of others is worth living.”

It was a proud moment for G.D.Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, when the students were felicitated for the stupendous humanitarian work done by them for the “Teens For Sewa” (TFS) programme conducted by the ‘Sewa Bharti Team’ on 30 October 2021. The event, ‘Diwali Milan’, a cultural programme, was organized to usher in the auspicious festival of Diwali at Jhandewalan Mandir Auditorium.

The programme began with a video presentation, conveying a powerfulsocial message by Virat Kohli and Kapil Sharma. This was followed by a song and dance performance by the buddies (the students who were guided and coached by Goenkans),  after which Ms. Nidhi Ahuja, the Vice President of Sewa Bharti gave a  speech acknowledging the superlative efforts of G.D. Goenka Public School in spreading the Each One Teach One (EOTO) programme and mentoring forty five other schools of NCR.

The honourable Chief Guest, Ms. Nupur Goenka, admired the efforts of the entire team of G. D. Goenka Public School, including the  volunteers who presented gifts to their buddies. The programme concluded with the awarding of Shining Star trophies to the Goenkan leaders, namely, Shreevats Pandey, Kamya Kohli, Sparsh Jain, Mahek Arora and Adrian Hazarika. Appreciation Certificates were awarded to the children for the exceptional work done by them for the underprivileged children through online education.

The programme came to a final close with a Vote of Thanks and ‘Deep Dan Ceremony’.
