Brightest of the Bright!!!!
Scholastic Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony of G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi took place on November 23, 2019 in the school auditorium. The ceremony commenced with lighting of the auspicious lamp while children sang Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by a musical fantasy titled ‘Bridging the Gap’ – an amalgamation of different styles of music from different eras.
Later the parents were regaled by a stunning dance performance: ‘Who Runs the World? Girls!’ – a unique combination of contrasting dance forms, i.e., ballet, hip hop and contemporary dance.
Principal, Ms Meenakshi Bhakuni, addressed the parents and underlined the need of rising beyond marks and help children expand their learning in a variety of other spheres too. She emphasised the significance of inclusion in the modern family. 123 students of classes VI, IX, XI and class XII batch of 2018-19 attended the ceremony with their parents. They were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in academics by Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, the eminent scholar, author and the former Chair Professor of IIT Delhi, our Chief Guest for the day.
The compères highlighted the accomplishments and aspirations of the student awardees. In his closing address, the Chief Guest commended the students for their scintillating progress.
The event was organised under the supportive guidance of Vice Principal, Mr. Rajender Shah and Head of Events, Ms. Anisha Talwar. The eventful day ended with sumptuous high tea. It was a day of immense pride for the parents and teachers alike
