Scholastic Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony of G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, took place on December 1, 2018 in the school auditorium. The ceremony commenced with lighting of the auspicious lamp while children sang Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by a musical fantasy titled ‘Tale of Two Legacies’ – the music score of Game of Thrones, Pirates of Caribbean and Bohemian Rhapsody. Later the parents were regaled by two stunning dance performances. ‘Splendours of Indian Dance’ presented an interesting form of Bharat Natyam. ‘Elements of Nature’ depicted a fusion of richness of colourful flowers, calmness of water, quaintness of tribals and serenity of monks.

Principal, Mr Sanjay Yadav, underlined the accomplishments of Goenkans with great pride. 133 students of classes VI, IX, XI and class XII batch of 2017-18 attended the ceremony with their parents. They were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in academics by Prof Dr Suku Bhaskaran, Director, G D Goenka World Institute and President, G D Goenka University, our Chief Guest for the evening. The compères highlighted the accomplishments, aspirations and role models of the student awardees. In his closing address, the Chief Guest commended the students for looking up to their parents and grandparents as their role models.

The event was organised under the able guidance of Vice Principal, Mrs Swadesh Kumar, assisted by Vice Principal Academics, Mr Rajender Shah and Activity Incharge, Mrs Anisha Talwar. The evening ended with sumptuous high tea. It was a day of pride for the parents.
