A highly innovative, enjoyable and informative workshop was conducted by Dr. Raj Singh, Vice Chancellor of G.D. Goenka University, on the 13th and 14th January 2016. The workshop was attended by the entire teaching faculty of G.D. Goenka Public School. The staff was divided into two groups and each group comprising as many as 50 teachers, attended the workshop.

Dr. Raj Singh, with his superb communicative skills, kept the teachers occupied for nearly five hours, holding their attention and involving them in various discussions and activities during the course of the workshop. He touched upon a variety of topics, teaching the staff, how to inculcate High Impact Skills, mainly making fantastic impression, conducting highly impressive meetings, writing crisp, clear memos and reports, delivering impressive presentations, negotiating, influencing and persuading people …..and much more.

Every minute that was spent in the workshop was utilized fruitfully by gaining some knowledge and gathering useful information.

An activity which involved filling up of a questionnaire and then the analysis that followed, was an eye-opener for many of the teachers. The ratings, the conclusion and finally the outcome as to who was a nurturing adult or a critical adult, a natural child, a creative child, or a fabricated child, brought out an enthusiastic response from the teachers.

Dr. Raj Singh added humour and fun to the discussions, an excellent speaker, an orator par excellence, he kept the teachers busy throughout the session during which, not for a minute anyone felt bored or disinterested. He even distributed chocolates to the teachers, who came up with correct and meaningful answers to his questions The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Swadesh Kumar, also attended the workshop, showing their complete and whole-hearted involvement in the same. All in all, it was indeed and truly, a workshop that was enjoyed by each member of he Goenkan faculty.
