Outstanding Achievements at Zonal Competitions
The Zonal Competitions held recently at DAV VASANT KUNJ and Suraj bhan DAV, Vasant Vihar showcased a remarkable display of talent and dedication from the students of the school. The event featured various categories, ranging from classical vocal performances to instrumental showcases and orchestral presentations. The results were a testament to the hard work and passion of the participants.
Vocal Performances
In the senior boys’ solo classical vocal category, Snehendu Batabyal from class 12F secured the coveted 1st position, highlighting his exceptional vocal prowess and musical finesse.
Junior girls also proved their mettle, with Devina Nigam from class 6D securing the 1st position in the solo classical vocal category. Her captivating performance reflected her dedication to the art form and her remarkable vocal skills.
Adding to the success, Araadhya from class 6D secured the 2nd position in the junior girls’ light classical songs category, showcasing her ability to infuse traditional melodies with a contemporary touch.
Samiya Verma from class 11F, in the senior girls’ light classical songs category, claimed the 3rd position, demonstrating her ability to connect with the audience through her soulful rendition.
Instrumental Excellence
Aditya Baxi of class 9th E emerged victorious in the senior boys’ zonal instrumental competition held at Suraj bhan DAV, Vasant Vihar. His outstanding performance and mastery over his chosen instrument Sitar earned him the prestigious 1st position.
Zonal Orchestra
The Zonal Orchestra, a collective showcase of instrumental talents, secured the 2nd position at the Zonal Competition held at DAV VASANT KUNJ. The synchronization and harmony displayed by the orchestra members were a true testament to their dedication and collaborative spirit.

Zonal Dance
Advaita Nair, a talented student of class 10E, achieved a remarkable feat by securing the 2nd prize in the Zonal Competition’s Senior Girls Solo Classical category. Her graceful performance on August 3rd, 2023, at APS Dhaula Kuan, showcased her dedication and skill in the world of classical dance. Advaita’s achievement stands as a testament to her devotion to the art form and her remarkable talent.
Further enhancing the school’s artistic reputation, a group of 14 participants, under the guidance of Vijaya Ma’am, achieved the 3rd prize in the group dance competition at SKV IARI PUSA on August 9th, 2023. This achievement is a celebration of unity, dedication, and synchronized excellence.
