Our school was invited at the inaugural session of the annual FICCI ARISE (Alliance for Re-Imagining School Education) Conference held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi on December 9, 2019, which also saw the presence of students and teachers from various other prestigious schools of Delhi NCR like Pathways World School and Nehru World School among others. It was attended by the students of class 9 of our school.
The topic for the conference being ‘Future Ready Learners and Schools’, the main thrust of the conference was on the use of Artificial Intelligence in revolutionizing education across the country.
The chief guest for the occasion was the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, whose valuable inputs on education was an eye opener for the students; “education is for enlightenment, for improvement and not only for employment” summed up the theme of the conference which was to prepare our youth (human intelligence) to work in tandem with artificial intelligence so as to grapple with the problems of an ever changing ,dynamic society. Another interesting theory put forth was of ‘quantum computing’ which aimed at imparting ‘next generation knowledge and skills’ to the youth with emphasis on training ‘thinking’ as a skill in schools.
With participation by students and educationists from different schools , it turned out to be a thought –provoking and engaging interactive session for our students.
