The week long English Language programme – SYMPHONY 2017-18 was kicked off on 16th August in the Primary section.

The importance of good and neat handwriting cannot be undermined. This was showcased in the first event- Inter Class Handwriting. It was a visual treat  to see neat,well formed and beautifully written letters. This was followed by Inter Class paragraph writing on 18th August for the children of classes 3 and 4.The children unleashed their creativity by writing impromptu paragraphs on the topics given on the spot in the class .Next in line was Inter House poetry recitation competition which was held on the 29th August on the theme “ Animals in Rhyme”. This  event showcased the oratory talents of the young Goenkans as they recited poems with great aplomb and enthusiasm.The Inter Class Spellathonwas held for Class 5 and 6 students on the same day.The last event that marked the conclusion of the English Language week was Inter Class Spellathon for the children of classes 3 and 4 which was a learning experience for all and kept the audience captivated.

As the curtains fell on the week long literary event, one felt pride in the knowledge that our young students are surely on their way to make their mark on the future.
