On October 25th, 2017, G.D.Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, organized an enlightening and interactive workshop on anti substance abuse for the students of class XI and XII. The workshop was organised and carried out by the Head Boy, Aryan Kanoi, who had initiated the Anti Substance Campaign in school to mark the Red Ribbon Week, with the support of School Counsellors Ms. Swati Kumar Mohan and Mrs. Gurmanjot Nandwani.

The workshop was presided over and addressed by Ms. Prachi Kathuria, Project officer, HRIDAY (Health Related Information Dissemination Amongst Youth). HRIDAY is an organization of public health professionals, social scientists and lawyers engaged in advocacy and research aiming to promote health awareness and informed health activism among youth in India. The workshop included statistical information, enthralling documentaries about some inspiring stories about people dropping tobacco out of their lives, real life case studies followed by an engrossing Q & A session. The workshop was very informative and instilled a sense of responsibility and prudence amongst our senior Goenkans.
