Music adds joy to every day at GD Goenka! Children explore Indian classical, Western music, and varied vocal styles, learning shlokas, patriotic songs, rhymes and melodies. Integrated with classroom themes, music enhances memory, language and cultural awareness – making it a meaningful and happy part of every child’s learning journey.
As students grow, they explore a wide range of genres, from Indian classical and choir to rock and jazz, developing vocal and instrumental skills with expert guidance. Our classes build musical literacy, sharpen focus and encourage creative emotion through activities like harmonising in acapella, composing original pieces and mastering instruments. Students also regularly take part in several inter-school events and make their alma mater proud by winning many of such events.

Dance is a joyful way for children to express themselves, build confidence and develop physical literacy. Students explore both Western and Indian classical dance forms, connecting movement to continent studies, famous dancers, and cultural traditions. By comparing rhythms and styles from around the world, children gain a deeper appreciation of diversity, showcased beautifully in their grade performances.
Through Indian and Western Dance Societies, students explore Bharatnatyam, Kathak, jazz and hip-hop. Workshops, rehearsals and curated sessions deepen their understanding of technique, choreography, and cultural diversity. Students showcase their talent at school events and compete at state, national and international levels, bringing energy and grace to every stage.
Unlocking a world of wonder and self-expression for every child
At the Junior Wing of GD Goenka Vasant Kunj, Visual Arts encourages children to express, create, and connect with cultures. Students explore Indian traditional and international art forms, learn about famous artists, techniques and mediums, and create art inspired by festivals, daily life, and global cultures. Their creativity shines in annual art exhibits, celebrating both skill and imagination.
As the students progress they dive into fine arts, digital media and art history. They recreate masterpieces like Starry Night, paint vivid portraits of Dalí and Frida Kahlo and bring nature to life on canvas. Portfolio development, workshops and competitions at various levels help refine their craft and help shape their unique artistic voice.
A space where voices find rhythm, emotions find form and ideas take centre stage
We celebrate every child’s voice through story-based musicals, collaborative performances, and choreography. Children participate in productions inspired by famous, celebrated stories, woven with melody, rhythm, and social messages. These vibrant performances nurture confidence, creativity, teamwork, and expression, while offering young learners the joy of being part of a grand, meaningful stage experience.
Students explore stage plays, mime, and street theatre, building confidence, empathy, and communication skills. Guided by passionate educators, they develop acting, scriptwriting, and production talents. The stage is where imagination sparks expression and nurtures a lasting love for the arts.
